1) My new sweater is an odd green and is terribly soft(cotton blend), just warm enough for my workplace, and cost me a whole seven bucks. If only it were machine dry-able, it would be my favorite sweater. I like it too much to see if maybe it is, but I sincerely hope that it survives the inevitable accidental spin in the dryer. *snugs it*
2) I parked on the street b/c I was able to just pull right up. This lack of forethought left me attempting to get out of parallel parking with a stiff neck. This distinctly lacked in fun.
3) Was told I am very astute by the big boss after summarizing my thoughts on a job applicant I had met once, and heard about another time. Which was cool b/c the head of my department dislikes the man, and my comment gave a legitimate reason that convinced the big boss that we don't need to interview him, even though he has connections like whoa. Department head thinks I'm the bee's knees now.
4) My furnace has been turning itself on and off for the last hour, and every time it comes on, it is with a loud bang that has blown the cap off the chimney 3 times. Chimney cap: the previous owner illegally had a woodstove upstairs that vented out the same chimney. There is now a metal cap over the hole. Which is currently somewhere upstairs as I couldn't find it after the last time.
Half-seriously: If I don't come back, avenge my death. Also, I turned off the heat until Maria gets home for decision making. So,fewer no worries.

ETA: 6) Maria reconnected the pipe to the chimney, which had apparently come off in one of the bangs, and it hasn't banged since. *fingers crossed* The house smells like Kerosene, but it is getting warmer, anyway. Furnace shopping this weekend.
